I think there should be TWO types of rewards that are given - some type of consistent loot which remains valuable throughout the life of the server and then a chance at something very rare/valuable even if a tiny chance. When there is some sort of farmable content be it daily dungeons/raids or Tiff 2 etc. One of the main things that I haven't seen done properly in I don't even know how many years is meaningful progression in terms of gear/upgrade materials. So I've tried to think about what exactly it was that makes PvP oriented games like this most enjoyable. I guess I can really only speak for myself, but I'd much rather be slightly inconvenienced than leave room for some asshat to mess up the server. I'd say it might be a good idea to implement some sort of linear progression system that shows us some different maps and different content to unlock our skills (exception given to the final 1-3 that should be a challenge to get - unsure what version this will be) and then beyond that I wouldn't really favor it.Īs far as the encryption stuff I'm not a tech guy, but I will say if you can simply provide players with some clear instructions to whitelist whatever files we need to it should be fine. I didn't mind it until towards the end when it became extremely tedious, so much so that my reaction to being banned was just to laugh. I actually played origin quite a bit, was close to getting the final skill (91 I think it was?) before getting banned lol. I do not want to release a dissapointment. I will still keep working on it, but when I feel comfortable opening it up for public is unknown. A lot of issues popped up that will need a work around and also I don't want to force myself to work on it. update2- Progress will be slowed even more.ĭue to me underestimating how much time I have to sink into this project I can't make this playable anytime soon. So the progress is slow for the most part.

update -Since we decided to pick the project back up here is a discord link for those who wan't to keep an active eye on the progress or just throw us ideas/suggestions. So far it kind of feels like it's not worth the time. If there is enough intrest I will pick the project up and finish it.

Lower level instances also come in 4 flavors, one for each race and one where all races can fight for mobs, higher level ones are full pvp. to remove the tedious "grind the best map/spot" mentality.
